Once you're past Ferntree it's pretty flat and really fast. The hardest bit is just up from the Ridgeway turnoff, but if you do the bonnet regularly it won't bother you.
I can't wait to get back down there. Canberra is pretty good for cycling but hot, dry and dusty in summer and cold dry and dusty in winter.

Are you on the Canberra tourism council? You do a great job of talking it up. After the weekend, I reckon I'll be heading out that way soon myself. Did a quick run from Kingston down to Margate, and back via Howden/Blackmans Bay with a few detours for fun. Only 1 and a half hours, but felt pretty good after, still had enough energy for 18 holes of golf (just).
