We're in the path of your heat wave. Temp yesterday morning was 11, with wind chill of -11. Today, it was 8, with wind chill of 8. well, Sat was a bust, got the lights down, and spent the rest of the day getting new brakes on the van.
Sunday was glorious- rode along the Great River Road (Mississippi and Illinois rivers), in shorts and jersey, and worked up a sweat. A little breezy, but no too bad. An old road into the state park, been closed for years, was reopened, so I tried it. A mile long, about 500' climb, with a little dip in the middle. It was great, not too easy, not too hard, and looked like Skyline drive (Shenandoah NP). A new favorite for the MS150 training. Shirt sleeve riding in Jan in the midwest- whodathunkit.
