Doug, the numbers refer to the model of the chain not the thickness. Thickness is dictated by the number of speeds...10 speed chains are narrower then 8-speed chains. Any of the HG/IG 7/8 speed chains will work.
50, 70 and 90 series chains differ in materials used.
