What did you mean that the juice addition didn't work? You mean it didn't taste right?
I'm not a dietitian, but since honey is supposedly 40% fructose (
http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/health/1841005/ ), isn't the problem with substituting honey for dextrose adding more fructose leading to the problems that the original author of the recipe had mentioned?
