What did you mean that the juice addition didn't work? You mean it didn't taste right?

I'm not a dietitian, but since honey is supposedly 40% fructose ( http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/health/1841005/ ), isn't the problem with substituting honey for dextrose adding more fructose leading to the problems that the original author of the recipe had mentioned?

I'll post his quote below as mentioned in his other power drink (gatorade) recipe ( http://www.exile.org/gu/gatorade.html )

"The human body's ability to process and consume fructose is quite limited. The excess has a tendency to ferment in the digestive tract, causing gas, bloating, and dehydration. Not good. Curiously, Gatorade gets this wrong too. Good electrolyte cocktail but poorly thought out for delivering calories."
