Review: Kenda Excavators.

The tires just came today, threw them on the fisher. Since the weather was really nice today, headed out for a thorough thrashing of the new tires.

The excavators do not look anything like what they do on kenda's website or in the catalog. Neither of those do the tires justice, the tires have nice large sized knobs on them. Which produces a much more stable tire. Despite the larger blockier knobs, the excavators roll quickly, maybe slightly quicker than the nevegals that I love so much. Anyways the tires are very predictable and consistent when cornering, seem to dig well when under braking and riding in loose conditions. Newly mounted on the rims they measured out to be 26"x2.353" will likely stretch out to be more like a 26"x2.42" after a couple of rides. These tires have a scary resemblance to the old Tioga Comp 3 bmx tires.

Overall, when I initially saw the tires online, they had my interest, now that I have them, they have lived up to what I wanted in a tire so far.
