I see. I still think the blue (or is it green) 3-speed women's step thru looks great. I remembre reading that there would be a basket available as well for the 3-speeds At $549, that is not a bad price.
Looking again at the trade show pic, beside the changes K6 mentioned the thing that has changed for the worse the most is the basket. It had some intricate playful pattern stamped out on the sides. It has been replaced with some generic pattern.
