Time to say hello

Last year me and several of my friends hit the fourty mark and decided we need to do something to keep the tickers in good shape. So we decided to start biking. I got out my old Schwinn World and cleaned it up and we decided to bike the San Juan Island. A friend told me the World was a piece an there was no way I could make the trip on that bike so he let me borrow his Sekai 2500. A world of difference and now I can never ride the World again. We had a great time in the San Juans and so this summer we are going again to the Canandia island. I now have a Giant OCR 2 and am training for Reach the Beach, it's an 80 mile ride over a small range of mountains. I understand there about a 6000' elevation gain and a 6500' elevation drop. I really don't know what that means, but riding over a mountain range has me scared.

I've been lurking for a couple of months and decided it was time to share in the fun.
