I've purchased the last Shi*No driveline I'll ever willingly purchase. My trailbike is equpped with Shimano's XT M750 shifters and derailieurs. (pre- Rapid Rise) I don't like the new rapid rise crap. I don't like how it feels, I don't like the flippy levers either. Once stuff starts wearing out / breaking it will be replaced by SRAM equipment. As for any future bike builds I'll be undertaking (in the MTB arena) I'll be looking towards all SRAM stuff.
If they did away with the Rapid rise and went back to triggers I'd reconsider
