I'm glad you (re)discovered this aspect. It took me a while but I came across that epiphany a while back. People ask me things like, "what was your biggest drop or longest jump on that ride?" I always just shrug and reply with, "err... I dunno." Most of my best rides, I don't recall any of the particulars of the stuff I hit. I just remember the experience of flowing with the trail, the scenery and the natural surroundings. That sounds like an awesome trail you have there.
