Bought another bike even though I probably shouldn't have.

I found a Raleigh Technium 450 on Craigslist this morning. Actually I found a bike rack for my car and the guy just happend to have this bike. I spent the long dollar ($150) but I wanted a bike. He is the original owner says he got it in '89 or '90. Paint is good, tires are in need of replacing. Shifts smooth, brakes work. Here are my questions. I have heard of the components but don't know much about them. The rear D says Shimano SIS, the front just says Shimano. Shifters say shimano light action and feel really good considering the age, former owner said he hasn't road it since a year after he bought it. Hubs are Maillard, wheels are Rigida. Cranks and bars are Sakae Ra... forgot how to spell it. So other than the lukewarm feelings about the frame, what about the components? Decent? Thanks.
