Garbage day. Go around and find tossed bikes and if they're not great, strip them for parts. Sturmey archer aw hubs are really quite common, and the parts can be found for free. Unless of course you won't this bike done ASAP or don't mind spending $10 for a tiny part that costs as much as the whole bike from a garage sale. Indicator chains and shifters are easy to come by for free. Just find out when the rich neighborhoods have their garbage day and head out the night before.
