Wow, that sucks. I've only ever crashed on the road bike twice, and both times I was moving fairly slowly. I've taken a lot of hard falls on the mtb, but that is not the same either.

A trainer is one way of coping with the problem but another might be to cross train. Spend the next month or so running, swimming or lifting?
