Race day fueling question

Next month I'll be entering a couple races where I'll be racing twice in one day, which is new to me. There will be about 1.5 hours between each race.

What do those of you who have done this before eat between races? Should I down my typical recovery drink of Recoverite after my first race? Eat a meal or stick to "space" food like gels and clif bars?
