I used to commute year round, but I moved farther out of town so I could get more sleddogs,(I also run a dogsled team) so now I just commute during the warmer months. I have a Kona Cindercone that seems to work alright for off road and touring, but would like to get a touring specific bike someday. I also have a Redline singlespeed for winter use. My longest tour so far is about 1,600 miles in a loop out to Montana and back. I really enjoy going off road along the MN, Ontario border near my cabin. So far I've seen seven timberwolves on my travels. I found this forum a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed it. I'm not that fast of a rider, but can still go a long way----Ike---
