On a lot of their mtbs you'll see that they come stock with Specialized "Future Shock" and use Specialized proprietary on the fly adjustment system.

I think this is great - more options open in the world of componentry. But does anyone know where I can find more info about the stuff itself? I searched for "Specialized future shock" on BF but not that much came up.

Compared to these conglomerates, how are individual component makers doing? Like Trek's Bontrager or Specialized branded stuff vs Rock Shox and Shimano?
