It is happening with depressing regularity. In a 5 county area in NC there were at least 4 or 5 hit and runs in the past week, several involving children. In a couple of cases they have yet to find the driver. Personally I think licenses and vehicles are too easy to get in the US. Driver's education is a joke, as is the enforcement of too many laws related to vehicle registration, insurance and lack of proper driver licenses/training. The carnage will continue as long as we allow it.
