because I use veloplugs, too (and love them). its not like "inserting" 32 plugs is difficult or time consuming and at least they don't move over time and cause flats.
I also used 16mm nipples on my last build just because I wanted a slightly bigger nipple for contast of the silver against my all black spokes and rims. it ended up looking nice. but 14mm would've been fine.
