Right now, and for the past few years, I ride 28's that are really 25's in the real world. And they have a kevlar strip down the middle. Why? If you live and ride a lot in an urban area like I do, the roads are too rough to enjoy a ride on narrower tires, and nice, expensive tires flat and tear way too easily on things you can't even see. Replacing expensive racing tires gets old quickly.
