SPD Scrape

Do everyone's SPD cleats scrape on the ground when they walk? I've been riding SPDs on my road bike for a few months now and want to get this straightened out before I put them on my fixed gear or mtb. Every step I take, I can feel the very back of the cleat scraping against the ground. It feels like the cleat is wearing away, as there seems to be a lot more front to back play in the pedal when I am pulling back at the bottom of the stroke. The shoes are Sidi Bullet 2's and the cleat is positioned just about all the way back in the tracks on the bottom of the shoe. It seems like this wouldn't happen if the cleat were a little further forward, but, after trying a few different places, the current position feels the best.

Is there an easy solution? An SPD cleat that won't have this problem? I haven't tried any other cleat/pedal system, but I'm open to trying another if it uses a more recessed cleat and isn't too expensive.
