i was just about to scoff at ny bike paranoia having never had a problem...then today i got home and saw that the construction crew across the street had a dumpster delivered in front of my house...on my (FTP) bike. it was locked up as always on the sidewalk side on the lamp post but somehow the driver managed to angle it in and crushed my front wheel and fork. thanks ***hole. to add insult to injury someone stole both wheels of my fuji mountain bike as well that was chained and ulocked inside my gate!!! cut the brakes, unbolted the wheels...goodbye disc brakes
ugh...sorry...just a little bummed out with my fuji curse today...had to vent.
