thin saddle, ok. should it be cushiony? i'll look over Sheldon's website to see if there is good information there. as well as the other one mentioned.

my seat is definitely not thin, and it looks like leather and is thick, so rather cushiony though it feels like the pain is all in one spot instead of both sides. i think though since i have not ridden in over a decade that in the beginning no matter what, i'm going to hurt. i would not be so worried about this were it not for the fact that when i did ride over 10 years ago, a hurting rear end was always an issue. i think the seat i had back then was more closely similiar to the one described in the previous one as being a good one.

<somewhat offtopic below, didn't want to start a new thread>
seeing as Sheldon has passed away it would be good for someone to ask permission to mirror his website. i know there have been alot of concerns about certain copyright laws not allowing or getting in the way of very good material to be published after the death of someone.
