For knocking around running errands and whatnot, I just wear jeans (straight-leg) with reflective velcro straps (mine are from REI).

About a month ago, I picked up a pair of close-out shorts from REI-Outlet. I liked 'em so much I got another pair. The idea was that with the Spring rainy season going on, I might as well get something comfortable and that would dry quickly. This season has been quirky, though. Either near-summer like or unseasonably cool (until just recently). I found that I can ride pretty comfortably in shorts down into the 30sF. That's about the top end of my winter tights. I shower and change at work, so I think I'm settled for the foreseeable future (and so am now in the market for something ELSE to obsess about ).
