If your mainly on pavement, i would stay away from high pressure knobbies unless you like going high speed into corners like your riding marbles. For my commuter I run the Vittoria Randonneur tires, big fat slicks (they say 700/35 but they look bigger), with double sheild flat protection. Not light at all but you can even run them at lower pressure on the bumpy stuff. just a thought
