I remove my pads, then handwash them with soap, but rinse really well so I don't sweat bubbles!

While the pads are off, I wipe down the inside with a saturated rag. I also set the helmet over the sink ina position so tht only the straps hang while soaking in hot water. Straps take all the salt getting purty groedy!
