Nice -- I love running into people doing that. I did a 5 day tour maybe 4 years ago going from Webster, NY along the eastside of Lake Ontario up to Toronto - and when we got closer to Toronto - we kept running into small groups of the same age group of college students - evidently there was a big group of them who were from New Foundland who were in Canada doing a many week tour - they had a Sag wagon - and were camping out at night. I remember them saying that they were living on PB&J, or so it seemed.

My brother went cross country - started out by himself and then met up with another guy mid U.S. and continued on with him - and had a great time.

I'd love to do it. It takes time (time off from a job too), lots and lots of planning and a cash reserve. I wouldn't do it alone like my brother - I'd join in on a group. Sigh .... maybe when I win the lottery
