I had one jerk today too, on a ride that is normally very tolerant. I was going up the high grade road on South Deer Creek Canyon with a friend. Most traffic was really good until some little mazda sports car pulled along side of me. He paused next to me, down-shifted, and spurted out a bunch of smoke as he accelerated up the hill. The funny thing is the guy didn't even know how to drive. His down-shift caused his engine to rev so high that it cut out for a moment (RPM switch) and then he shifted up.

I yelled to my friend who was about 50' in front of me that the guy most be compensating for a small #$%^. After all, what does it really take to drive up such a road? We were pedaling it ;-)

All in all, you still had the better experience than the idiots who harassed you. They are just jealous.
