I am using good old platform pedals & wheelie the front onto the sidewalk & slam the back into the the curb. After 2 full years of doing this, the back wheel needed to be retensioned as I had a loose spoke. Beyond that, all is well. Mind you , I am not doing this at any speed.
My last race in Mirabel, QC, there was this half burried drainage pipe that everyone, except me of course, bunny hopped over it. I did the back wheel slamming thing & the wheel is still true!
