Buy the bike that you want.

Even if you install aftermarket fenders and rack on the DX it isn't likely to have that "factory" look. You'll have to kludge the fenders around the disc brake or the colors won't be quite right or the rack won't be quite level - something. In other words, it won't be as "purty".

Never apologize for wanting "purty". A year from now you won't know what you did with the $200 price difference but you'll still have the bike. If you wish to yourself that you'd gotten the other bike every time that you ride, that's worth more than $200.
