When I travel I often go running because I have no other way of working out. Takes about 2 miles to remember why I don't run anymore, though I have to get back to the hotel somehow so I usually get another 2 in. If you read up on tri bike geometry and tri training theory you'll find a lot of stuff about how it's hard to balance the muscles needed for running and road cycling at a competitive level.
