A Great Weekend

So my weekend is over already and I’m back at work today (of course I commuted
by bike). It was a good weekend both weather wise and ride rise. Clear skies and
70’s the whole time.

Wednesday morning I was very tired and rode straight home (5 miles) and jumped
right into bed, but then I did manage to get a nice leisurely 25 mile ride in during
the evening hours. I got in another evening ride of 23 miles on Thur. Evening and
a brisk 23 miles on my Road Bike on Fri morning. Saturday, however, was my
favorite of the four days as I got on the Erie Canal Towpath again (2nd time this year)
and had a very enjoyable ride of 35 miles. All the rides were on my recumbent except the
Friday morning ride, and the recumbent rides were all at a nice leisurly pace.

There were many people out Saturday morning along the canal. Here’s a family
with their Kayaks.

And here’s a family just swimming………hee hee.

And here are some rich people who can still afford gasoline at marina prices.

So I didn't ride any centuries, or my age, but the 100 or so miles spread out over
four days felt just about perfect.

happy Trails
