What would be interesting is to follow your progress into road riding. Does your spin class instructor also do road riding?
I know the maniac* who teaches the Monday class does. He's on staff at a local shop and rides for a local team as well. He is, quite frankly, the hardest-core SOB I ever met in my life. The other teachers are really good, but he's in a class of his own, both in terms of fitness and his ability to motivate.
