Dirt Jumping On a Dually

Hey, I Yesterday (Opening Day) I went up to my local Downhill MTB area (Skibowl) To do some ski lift mountain biking for the first time. I ride a hardtail and have been wanting a new bike. I had a blast yesterday, but I got beat to **** on my hardtail. I want to keep my current bike for XC riding, but previous to my Skibowl experience, I wanted to get a DJ Hardtail for Downhill/Freeride. There is also a large dirtjump area and skatepark next to my house that I want to ride in. My question is if I were to get a Freeride Dually such as an Ironhorse Yakuza or similar bike, how would it perform in dirtjump style riding? What about like a Norco VPS Buzz or Drop? Thanks, I do enjoy riding hardtails, but I just felt like my hands were going to fall off after a day of riding downhill.

PS- I figure I should include my riding level. I went for my first real downhill yesterday, but I have been doing some significant trail riding/ jumping. I am by no means shredding down expert trails, but I felt comfortable and had alot of fun on the black runs, and feel like I can be a pretty competent downhill rider fairly soon.
