I have some questions about the difference between the “Where To” and “Course”. What are the pros and con’s of both? Any preferences?

It seems the main difference is that for the “Where To” you get the Next Three Turns page and an indicator for an upcoming turns. Also, it will pull the street names from the map for the turn indicator. For the “Course” function you get the course screen and the option of using the virtual partner. Also, you have to manually enter any turn indicators. Is that pretty much it for the difference? On an unrelated note, does the elevation screen show you what kind of terrain you are coming up to?

I’ve listed below the steps I would probably use for either. Am I missing anything?

“WHERE TO”
Create a map on MapMyRide
Save as GPX
Upload to Edge
Menu
Where To
Saved Ride
OR
Menu
Where To
Follow History

Screens:
Map
Next Three Turns
Compass
Elevation
Bike Computer

“DO COURSE”
Create a map on MapMyRide
Save as CRS
Open in training center
Manually add turn indicators
Upload to edge
Select "Do Course"

Screens:
Map
Compass?
Elevation
Course
Bike Computer
