It's probably the M4 Alloy in the Specialized frame that is creating most of the difference. It's really quite different than a the standard 6061 alloy used in the GF. Don't know that it equates to a noticeable difference to your wife though. I'll repeat what has already been said. go with the one she says fits and feels the best.
