I hardly ever eat meat these days - most of my protein comes from fish, chicken, and whey protein. I can't recall the last time I had a greaseburger, and doubt I'll ever consume another burger from McDonald's (or any of the other fat-food chains).
I don't care how pure you are, a hamburger a week ain't gonna kill you. And if you think a burger tastes gross, you are far out of the mainstream of American politics.
