Well it was nearly single file at the last lap - this was 4/5s. .75 mile figure 8, and sure, it would have been possible to move up, there was room.
I was too concerned with staying on someone's wheel I guess at the end rather than getting through the last corner first - it was a very short sprint to the finish out of the last corner.
We started with 60+ and there were maybe 20 left. We were doing 30mph the last lap - so, I guess I was 'content' with the pace and thought if I went any harder I would either a) not handle a corner or b) pop, so, I stayed where I was rather than trying to move up.
