Not Eggbeaters but I've used mountain bike shoes and pedals for well over 10 years now on all my bikes. I don't see why you'd use a pedal/shoe/cleat combination that are nearly impossible to walk in. Mountain bike shoes are every bit as stiff as road shoes and you don't look that funny
