The fender is installed abominably, but not backwards -- the flare is SUPPOSED to be towards the back; it's the "bobbed" fender styling. Shouldn't be touching the tire up front, obviously, but we're talking about a bike that's WM quality (in other words, zero quality!).

If you're 5'9", 165 lbs., average build/fitness/health, go for it...otherwise, point at it and shake your head in disdain.
