Car free and loving it!
Hey everyone! I have been meaning to be a part of this community for a long time! I got started loving bikes when I was a kid and collected and rode old cruisers from the 40s and 50s. In my late 20s I started biking to work-at least half way. I rode old ten speeds and got a trek 7500fx in '05. It still serves me well but I want a cyclo-cross and a single fixed gear now with a freewheel. I think I may try to sell the Trek here. I became car free by choice last year and now bike and bus to most of the places I need to go. Little by little I'm learning to maintain and fix my bike. I started to get into a little bike advocacy this year with the League of Michigan Bicyclists. We are trying to change legislation in favor of cyclists' rights and for better non-motorized transportation planning. I am also an artist who works in a variety of traditional and digital media.
