I rode the 100 mile classic century with two friends. The Marshall wall wasn't bad but after the second rest stop (mile 50) there was a very steep portion that was harder for me than the "climbs". My friends and I had fun jumping on some different packs. Hung with a group wearing "Village Peddler" kits for a while, Z team for a while, and I found a tandem to draft during some of the head wind. One sad fact was right before us after the Nicassio (final) rest stop, there was some sort of a crash. A firetruck went blwoing by us and I saw a few bikes on the side of the road. Word on the street is that there was a broken collar bone. Hopefully the woman is doing well. On a more positive it was a beautiful day and the climbing was more dispersed evenly throughout the ride than the Woodside/Pescadero rides with two major climbs. Overall, it was 106 miles/6250 ft and my peddling time was about 6hr. 50 min with an average speed of 15.4 mph. My only photo...
