I can relate. After working my way up to averaging 100 miles a week for a couple of months, I did a total of 40 miles from early July to early August. July started with a 10 day camping trip, followed by a cold that didn't want to go away followed by a week at a lake. The vacations were great, the cold not so much but I was really ready to get back in the saddle when we returned home this past weekend. Rode 7 miles last night after work (definately lost some conditioning and gained some weight - guess I was eating like I do when I'm riding and burning calories). Decided to commute in to work today and it felt great. Doubt I'll be doing a 100 mile week for a while but that's OK. I'll get back there soon enough.
