There is a ferry so often it does not matter.

The riding is nicer on Martha's Vineyard than the cape. Much more scenic. Make that a higher priority than the cape. The best is the path from Woods Hole to Edgartown and back. Try for lunch in Edgartown.

Don't bother with Nantucket. It's very nice, but the Vineyard is nicer, cheaper, easier.

I lead, or ride on, a couple of group rides on the Vineyard every year.
