With me, there is no ahower at work, so it is the one aspect that concerns me.
The gym I belong to (but rarely use so far) is about 1.5 miles to work and the road between is dead flat except the slight rise to get across the river. so I could shower there. It would add a couple miles to my commute, or a couple of hills and heavier travelled roads to shower at the gym...
I also am not concerned with burning up the road on my 7-8 mile commute, which except for the two small climbs at the start and a small climb in the middle is pretty much flat except for a couple of minor dips. If I wanted to do a hard workout, I would do it on the way home. I do have a shower at home.
