For my L2D flashlights, I use both the Duracell 2650 mAh AA NIMH batteries (available at lots of retail stores or online) or the Maha PowerEx 2700 mAh AA NIMH batteries (available via
Thomas Distributing). I prefer the PowerEx batteries, which can be had in a 4-pack for about $13
here. But, the Duracell 2650 mAh batteries are very good.
Which 18650 batteries did you get? The AW ones from Fenix-Store or 4Sevens.com? You could always sell them to me, since I can use them in a flashlight I have that uses those.
Shipping kills the PowerEx batteries for me. Best I saw was about $19 for the 4 batteries shipped. I need to find those Duracell batteries locally and try them. I'm getting about 3.5 hours out of some Energizer 2500 maH batteries with the L2DQ5 on strobe mode.
