Just a little plug for Google here. What I do (because I can't stand bicycling magazine, which my wife got me) is go to Google news and create an alert. The alert is basically a google search of world of publications out there and then the articles get emailed to you daily.
So if you make an alert that says "bike commuting", you get about 8 stories emailed to you every day about bike commuting from major newspapers both here and abroad. Then it searches blogs and other publications. So you can tailor the alert to find stories that you find interesting.
