It won't hit the wheel - handleposts on folders don't work like that. They have a lower section that's like a "sleeve", and the upper section moves up and down in that. When the whole upper section is in, that's as low as it goes. Usually, when it's at its lowest point is where you get the smallest fold, so if you use it at that height (as I do with my Mini), then there's no adjusting to do. On my 20" Downtube, I can fold it without dropping the stem down (I use it higher on that bike), but I don't know if that extends to a Dahon Curve.
