The nicer ones have extra seals in the base of the freehub body where it meets the hub to aid in keeping out dirt and water.

And yeah, how in the blazes did they mess up a freehub body? You'd need to clamp the snot out of it in a really big vise to do anything. They are heat treated to a pretty tough hardness level and don't damage easily.
