hi,
I usally check my cleats before every ride to be sure they are firmly attached.
My Crankbrother cleat lossened up during my ride, I didn't realize it and was suprised when I tried to free my left foot. It was firmly attached.
I had to unclip my right foot, lean over and loosen the Velcro on my shoes and slip my foot out.
I then had to pull real hard to free the clip, it had loosened to the point one screw fell off.
I asked MY LBS if they have ever used a locktight material to help prevent this. He say occasionally.
I went to the auto store and said I need a tube of lock tight he said what color.
They have three colors red is near impossiable to remove, Blue requires med force to remove and the third is fairly easy.
I went with blue. I had extra cleats and pulled them out of the box, the new cleat had a diffeent style hold tight with a phillips head I put a drop on the shoe and a Drop on the screw and tightend those buggars as tight as I could.
I hope that dosen't happen again..
very unerving.
