Sorry if this topic has already been discussed before - I searched the forum before posting and nothing turned up.

I have a set of a FSA Gossamer compact crank on my bike that I'd like to upgrade to Dura Ace 7800 Hollotech II Double Cranks. At $226, ChainReactionCycles has the price price on the DA crank, but this still seems pretty steep to me considering the 7800 model is 2 years old.

I know DA has a solid reputation, and I don't mind paying for quality. But I just want to know if now is the best time to buy DA 7800, or if prices will slashed soon due to the release of DA7900.

Please share your comments/ideas.
