Good news! The bike has been fixed not sure how.

he said it just screwed back on? and the gears needed re aligning. I think however he could of just glued it on and then sorted out the gears but works perfectly now and it is hardly a part that goes through a lot of strain so glue should be fine anyway?

In the end cost £15 ($30) plus a new break cable.

He also suggested my wheel needs re-tuning, I did not really feel it was worth £15 and leaving my bike there, but is it something that is possible to do at home or not?

They where not that blury, but the camera was only a phone. You did click on them right for a bigger version?
